I spent the first 20 minutes of the year running after a dog to check if it’d been hurt by drunk people. Turns out the drunk people, albeit drunk, were not abominable, dog-hurting creatures, but had been running after the dog themselves to give it FOOD! So… less cynicism in 2010? [/cool story, bro]

* My New Year resolution is to be less ragey. Rafa and Robin Soderling helped me with that right off the bat! Rafa by being a good boy and winning his first two matches of the year, Sodemort by being a decent sport in the Abu Dhabi trophy ceremony (UNPRECEDENTED in his recent history with Rafa).

* Sabine and Laura Robson rocking the gold in these Hopman Cup Ball pics.

* Lleyton Hewitt doesn’t get us, say Tomics – “I will say this … Bernard is not a pure Australian, we feel like Aussies but it is up to them, will they accept us? That is up to them. (…) Probably there is something there. If we were Aussies, there might be different talk, a different attitude.”
