* Best Repeated Glance at Oneself: Image-obsessed champion Roger Federer seemed distracted during some of his sessions in Interview Room One. The cause, it seemed, was a live television monitor view of himself hanging above, to his right, at which he stole glances every minute or so. Federer was also seen sprinkling a few drops of Evian water from his bottle to put in his hair after his final victory — the better to give his locks a suitable sheen for photographers.

* Like Brad, in a way: Dressed in a charcoal suit, Federer chose “Fight Club” star Pitt over fellow Hollywood idols Johnny Depp, Matt Damon — even Denzil Washington and Jet Lee  to play him in a film.

“Brad Pitt did some tough movies and I’d like mine to be a tough movie too,” said Federer, who will be bidding for a fourth title at the Masters Cup beginning on Sunday.

“Comedy would be fine too but I’m more a tough-guy movie kind of guy.”

* Before he managed his 20 minutes of shut-eye, the champion went on to the internet to study images of his performance. “I wanted to get a sense of what the fans saw,” he said. “I like to see the pictures before I go to bed.”
